Desc: Talk Back Out Loud: Directed by Kaori Sakagami. In March 2010, sixteen San Francisco women performed 'Dancing with the Clown of Love,' a theater piece about HIV/AIDS based on their personal history. This production was developed over two hears in workshops facilitated by an African American performer/director Rhodessa Jones. She created the Medea Project: Theater for Incarcerated Women in San Francisco jail 25 years ago to deal with shame, stigma and silence. This film features eight of the women performing in the current extension of Medea's work, produced in collaboration with Women's HIV Program. Some HIV/AIDS positive participants have never performed before, while others have kept performing since their jail time. To witness the impact of these performances over their lives, the film also visits them three years after their premiere.
